Dear patients,
I graduated second in my high school class and completed my undergraduate and medical school training at Boston University and the Boston University School of Medicine (graduated Magna Cum Laude / 6 year combined undergraduate - medical program). My internship and residency was completed at The Albert Einstein College of Medicine / Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, NY. Finally I completed my Allergy / Immunology fellowship at The University of Pennsylvania / Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
At the initial patient visit I will often prescribe medications to help patients from the start. I consider myself an equal with all of my patients and all treatment decisions are made as a team. I feel that spending time with patients is critical. Basically I meet all new patients personally and take a detailed history and perform a complete physical exam. At the new patient visit I will decide on a treatment plan which may include allergy skin testing, lab tests, pulmonary function testing and x-rays depending on the condition the patient has. It is my firm impression that educating my patients about their condition(s) is critical to good healthcare. I also feel that humor is often "the best medicine" and making patients smile and laugh is an important part of my treatment philosophy.
